Corporation tax
Taxation plays an increasingly important role in the strategic planning and decision-making of companies. We reduce both the tax cost and the time you spend on it.
Corporation tax computed, filed and planned for
Corporation tax is the main tax a limited company pays, charged on trading profits and on gains from selling assets such as land, property or shares that have risen in value. The burden is administrative as well as financial.
Our team makes sure every available benefit is identified and claimed, that the CT600 reflects your true position, and that filing and payment deadlines are met without a scramble at the end.
Computations, CT600 filing and HMRC correspondence handled together, with planning done before the year end rather than after it.
What’s included
Computation and preparation
Taxable profits calculated from your records, with the basis of every adjustment explained.
Expenses and deductions
Allowable business expenses and deductions reviewed properly rather than assumed.
Reliefs and efficiencies
Capital allowances, losses and other reliefs identified and claimed with maximum benefit.
CT600 filing
Returns prepared and submitted in line with HMRC requirements, on time.
HMRC liaison
We deal with HMRC on behalf of the company, from routine queries upwards.
Year-end planning
Forecasting the liability so the cash is set aside and decisions are made in time.
Payment and filing are two different dates
Corporation tax is generally due nine months and one day after the end of your accounting period, while the return itself must be filed within twelve months of that period end. Missing either brings penalties and interest.

Corporation tax questions we get asked
Generally nine months and one day after the end of your accounting period. The return itself must be filed within twelve months of the period end, so the payment date usually comes first.
HMRC charges penalties and interest, and repeated late filing attracts attention. We monitor deadlines for every company we act for so it does not arise.
We make sure every allowance, relief and deduction the company is entitled to is identified and claimed. That is planning, not avoidance.
Usually, yes. Preparing the statutory accounts and the tax computation together is faster, cheaper and less error-prone than splitting them.
It does. Cloud records mean we can forecast the liability during the year instead of finding out after it has closed.
